WAREHOUSE SHIPPER / RECEIVER - North Vancouver, BC 

The primary focus is shipping goods from the warehouse to individual customers and the transfer of goods to other company locations in the most accurate and efficient manner possible. The role requires you to pick and pack orders correctly, prepare records of shipments and bills of lading for all carriers.  Responsible for the accuracy of contents, destinations, and shipping documents. As a member of a small warehouse team, you'll assist in many areas as needed, supporting a wide variety of tasks in the warehouse including receiving, stocking inventory, cycle counting, and inventory management, cleaning, preparing for swim meets, attending special events and filling in for other staff as required. You'll report directly to the Purchasing and Inventory Manager.


Duties and responsibilities:  

  • Ensures that orders are picked and packed according to customer order specifications detailed in the invoice/pick list
  • Prepares orders for shipment in compliance with warehouse standards for particular customers and shipment methods
  • Monitors inventory levels for replenishment
  • Processes shipping documents and prepares daily manifest
  • Participates in cycle count and related inventory activities
  • Accurately produces and completes necessary paperwork applicable to warehouse processes
  • Performs general warehouse functions as necessary
  • Adheres to the health and safety requirements in the performance of day-to-day tasks
Qualifications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid BC driver’s license
  • Previous shipping & receiving experience
  • Completion of secondary education
  • Responsible, self-motivated, personable, and well organized
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in picking orders
  • Strong communication skills, well-organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Motivated, proactive and a strong team player
  • Forklift driving certification is a plus

Duties and responsibilities:  

  • Handle A/R and A/P
  • Post daily entries
  • Create documents
  • Process payments and create expense reports
  • Identify, resolve, and/or implement changes related to accounting and control issues inherent in business process
  • Ensure that accounting is performed in a manner consistent with the Canadian GAAP
  • Spot errors, through attention to detail and suggest ways to improve efficiency
Qualifications
  • Accounting degree/diploma with 2+ years’ experience
  • Proficiency with AccPac / Sage with I.T. knowledge
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Show us you have impressive time-management skills
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving aptitude
  • Possess a delightful approach to client experiences
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures (think outside the box)
